Nancy will quickly compare the 4 big companies with regards to database coverage, prices, pros and cons.Then she will mention some ways to get around having to pay for all the companies.

5) Panel Discussion on Databases

It's not all about Ancestry.ca. Nancy will moderate a panel of genealogists that will field questions on the big databases and the not-so-big databases. Audience participation is encouraged and we hope to introduce you to other sites that are not to be missed.

Nancy Trimble holds a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies and is involved in lecturing in the Durham Region. She has researched her lines in Ontario, England and Scotland and is slowly making some headway on her Irish lines. She has been Regional Director, Vice-President and President of the provincial Ontario Genealogical Society. She was also chair of the OGS Conference in 2006 and has helped on many other OGS Conferences. Currently, Nancy is the Chair of Durham Region Branch and is a proponent of the concept of life-long learning..
