Paid membership is not required to attend branch meetings or to use the resources of the Durham Region Branch.

O.G.S. produces four quarterly publications to each member, called, "Families".

Most local branches publish their own quarterly newsletter. Ours is called "Kindred Spirits".[sample pdf ] Members will receive Kindred Spirits electronically. (see Kindred Spirits)

Our branch maintains a resource library, separate from O.G.S., containing microfilm, maps, photos, cemetery records, family and local histories... and more.

We also host monthly meetings (except July and August), a DNA SIG, and a monthly virtual drop-in.
